Performance's headquarters is located at Pride of Muskoka Marine on Lake
Muskoka, in Bracebridge Ont. The school's site is located directly beside
the water on Lake Muskoka, with secret riding spots and glassy water only
short boat rides away. Performance will be operating off the docks of
Pride of Muskoka in Bracebridge all summer long.
When will you be open for business?
Performance will begin operating on the water in late May, early June. Once
the water is warm enough we will be offering private lessons and custom
clinics daily. Day camps 'officially' begin on the first week of July and
run all summer.
What level of riders does the camp cater to?
Performance caters to all levels of riders! Weather your wanting to try
wakeboarding for the first time, would like some instruction learning your
first invert, or looking for advanced coaching to help you learn your first
mobe. Performance is able to guide you through your learning progression,
while coaching you through the necessary steps on your way to achieving your
goals.
Who will be coaching?
The Performance Squad is a team made up of Ontario wakeboarders. These
wakeboarders have gained the necessary knowledge and abilities from taking
various wakeboard coaching courses, and through personal experience to
provide students with the absolute best wakeboard experience. The
Performance Squad is able to provide students of any age and ability level
all the necessary coaching and tools to ensure every students goals are met.
Kyle Rattray, the 2003 Nautiques X-Cup Tour Champion will be one of the main
coaches you will be working with while riding at Performance. Kyle has been
certified in various wakeboard coaching, and boat driving courses. Kyle is
an avid wakeboarder who has been ranked at a national level, and is
preparing to spend the winter in Orlando FLA. to begin training for the 04
summer.
If you are a beginner wakeboarder you will most likely be spending your time
working with Hilary tenWesteneind. Hilary is an avid wakeboarder, she
planning to spend the upcoming winter in Orlando FLA. to wakeboard and begin
preparing for the summer. Hilary has been certified as a beginner level
wakeboard coach. You will be talking with Hilary when booking sessions with
us, Hilary also does all of Performance's administrative work.
Jim Brace will be one of Performance's main boat drivers. Jim is a
competitive wakeboarder who finished third on the Naitiques X-Cup Tour in
2003. Jim also is one of the main boat drivers for the Nautiques X-Cup
tournaments. Jim has been responsible to provide flawless pulls at a number
of contests from beginner level riders, to Ontario's highest level riders
while driving for the X-Cup.
Mike Donald will be spending a great deal of time coaching and training at
Performance Wakeboard School. Mike has been certified in various wakeboard
coaching courses, and has spent a large amount of time coaching at different
wakeboard school's including O'Town in Orlando FLA.
What type of programs will you be offering?
Performance will be offering weekly Day Camps, which run Monday to Thursday
9am to 4pm. Students will be given two twenty five minute sets each day,
one morning set and one afternoon set. During these sets students will be
coached by one of Performance's coaches. Performance also offers daily
private lessons. Students may book private, or semi-private lessons after
4pm any day of the week.
What type of equipment will you have?
Performance Wakeboard School features a 210 Team Edition Super-Air Nautique
the official tow-boat of the World Wakeboard Championships, The Ontario
X-Cup Series, and Performance Wakeboard School. Performance offers
available Hyperlite wakeboards, bindings, wake skates, and wake surfs for
demo, Mica rubber, and all kinds of other gear. Performance has a Tramp set
up for students to practice tricks on-land. This allows students to get the
feeling of a new trick in a controlled environment before an attempt on the
water, which will allow students to take the trick to the water safely when
they feel comfortable.
