The 2006 wakeboard season is approaching quickly, and as such our wakeboard tour and clinics will be starting up again come May. There have been some changes for the 2006 season, the Island Wakeboard Tour and the BC Tour have joined to form a larger tour that will host events throughout the province. We are very excited about these changes as the tour will now be run by a committee made up of representatives from the host clubs. The tour will consist of 6 tour stops. Clinics will be running before and after some of the Tour stops. This new BC Pro/Am Wakeboard Tour is run by wakeboarders for wakeboarders. The WSWBC is not involved in the running of this tour. They are no longer doing a wakeboard tour and will be focusing there efforts on rider development. Look for new development programs coming this summer to BC. April 10, 2004—Summer is almost here and Kickflip Boardshop is stoked and all ready to rock already. This summer on Shawnigan Lake, Kickflip Boardshop, located at the Galley Marina, will be trying to sell as many hoodies as they can to raise money for the Shawnigan Lake Community Center. For every hoodie sold, Kickflip gives 1 dollar to the center to help the kids do more activities in the summer. It doesn't sound like much, but in the last 2 years Kickflip, which used to be Wakie Wakie Wakeboards, sold over 700 hoodies.
