(Toronto, Canada) July 18, 2008 -- WAKESTOCK, the worlds premiere wakeboarding and wakeskating event, and Canada’s largest action sports and music festival brings the most anticipated wake party of the summer to Toronto Island Park, July 24-27, celebrating 11 years of boarding, bands and bikinis!

Bud Light and TELUS present WAKESTOCK, the anchor event of the WWAWORLD SERIES of Wakeboarding, and the only contest to collectively showcase all of the best wakeboarders AND wakeskaters together at one event. Featuring four separate pro events with a worldwide reputation for pushing wakeboarding and wakeskating style and progression to new heights!

MALIBU BOATS PRO EXPRESSION SESSIONfeaturing the best wake and rail course on tour. Philip Soven will be back to defend his title! Presented by Gordon Bay Marine and Paris Marine.

BILLABONG PRO RAILSLIDE. The unofficial wake rail championship of the
world featuring the most progressive rails of the year by The Projects Pat
Panakos. Keith Lidberg will be back to defend his title.

OAKLEYWAKESKATE POOLJAM INVITATIONAL. The world’s premier
pool event featuring the best wakeskaters raising the bar in skate style and innovation!

BILLABONG PRO WAKESKATE featuring the world’s best wakeskaters
on the biggest rail course on tour. Brian Grubb will be back to defend his title.

MALIBU WAKESTOCK AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP featuring Canada’s

Direct from Ozzy’s Monsters Of Rock Festival come Wakestock’s Friday headliners: Cavalera Conspiracy, Dillinger Escape Plan, Throwdown and Bury The Dead. Brazilian metal titans Max and Igor Cavalera of Sepultura fame lead Friday’s eight band charge with their new project, Cavalera Conspiracy. Plus Kathleen Turner Overdrive, Age Of Daze, Dead and Divine, and Farewell To Freeway. Don’t miss the heaviest music to hit Toronto this summer!

Saturday, July 26
Cousins RZAand GZA, forefathers of the Wu Tang Clan, one of the most critically acclaimed and celebrated hip hop groups of all time, headline Wakestock’s most exciting single day line-up ever. The bill also includes Florida’s reunited, post-hardcore legends Hot Water Musicin a rare appearance. Plus one of the world’s most sought after post-hardcore acts Silverstein, award-winning rap artist Classified, Rebel Emergency and Dodger!

Sunday, July 27
Hot off of two of the world’s biggest outdoor festivals, Pemberton Music Fest and Coachella Music Fest, hometown favourites, Metricheadline Wakestock’s final day with their only Toronto concert of the summer! Plus famed Brooklyn, NY-based indie rockers We Are Scientists playing the only Canadian stop of their world tour, and electro-pop rockers Dragonette, Lights, Crash Parallel, and Shawn Hewitt and Port 26!
