Sarnia's Wake-Up Call - Wakeboard Event

Sarnia's WAKE-up Call (SWUC) is a one of a kind, non traditional wakeboard/wakeskate event.

The first ever WUC will be free admission and is an invite only professional wakeboard and wakeskate competiton being held at Centennial Park and in the Sarnia Bay.

It will be taking place July 20th, from 11:00am - 5:00pm.

SWUC will be working in partnership with Sarnia's Ribfest and Hobbyfest. Both of these events are annual events that take place in Sarnia. Ribfest will be host this year to free live performances by Kim Mitchell and April Wine...don't miss out! Make sure to get to Sarnia for the weekend.

SWUC EVENTS:
On Water:
Each rider will be given 10 minutes on water. During this time they ride however they like. It is up them to have fun on the water, and show the other riders their skills. This will allow riders to push themselves and provide an opportunity for spectators to see the best tricks possible. The Competition will then be broke down into a 3 rider final in which the top 3 riders will demonstrate their skills and at the end there will be a riders meeting and placing will be determined by the riders alone.

On Land:
The on land winch pool contest will be held on the Team Fun inflatable pools (150 feet in length, 3 feet in depth). We plan to run the on land contest for at least 4 hours of the day. The competition on the winch pools will be held hourly for the best trick. Riders will be towed across the pools via a high powered winching device that retracts the rope and pulls the rider across the pool just like a boat would. Riders will be transferring from one pool to the next via a slider. This portion of the event will be in partnership with Big Brothers of Sarnia Lambton.
Each rider will be teamed with a "Little Brother" and will be competing to win that person a prize pack donated by the sponsors. So, for example from 1pm - 2pm riders will be competing for a prize pack donation and the top 2 will win that prize to give to their "Little Brother."

There will also be a retail boarder village where you can find the latest products from around the industry.
