VANCOUVER BOAT SHOW BRINGS RAILJAM TO BC

FEATURING NORTH AMERICA'S TOP PRO-WAKEBOARDERS

RUSTY MALINOSKI, CHAD SHARPE, JAMES BALZER & BRADEY PRICE

Not only does the Vancouver International Boat Show, running February 7 to 11, 2007 at BC Place Stadium and the in-water venue at False Creek Yacht Club, feature some of the coolest wakeboarding boats and gear, this year they also bring RailJam to BC Place Stadium for its very first “gig” in Canada.

RailJam brings the incredible action of wakeboarding indoors. It features four of North America’s top pro-wakeboarders, Rusty Malinoski, Chad Sharpe, James Balzer and Bradey Price, an announcer and a massive engine that drives a big winch. Wakeboarders are pulled along a rail from one pool to another as they “backside lip slide” and “50/50 slide” in an up close-and-personal distance from the audience. If you are used to seeing wakeboarders from the beach, you are sure to enjoy seeing these gifted athletes perform their trademark tricks from a mere 10 feet away.

“Wakeboarding has taken off with a new generation of boating enthusiasts,” says Jennifer Kastelein, Show Manager. “As much as we expect a younger crowd to come out for RailJam, I think fans of every age will enjoy the energy, the sound and the incredible skill of these athletes.”

Want to talk to one of the RailJam wakeboarders about the gear they use or maybe get an autograph signed? After each RailJam event there will be a rare “meet and greet” opportunity.

“We are very excited to bring RailJam to British Columbia,” said Ryan Davis of Step Up Productions, the producers of RailJam events, whose offices are based in Florida. “We are learning more and more about the big wakeboarding community in BC and are looking forward to meeting fans at the show.”

RailJam Schedule:
(Subject to Change)
Wednesday, Feb. 7 - 4pm & 7pm
Thursday, Feb. 8 - 4pm & 7pm
Friday, Feb 9 - 1pm, 4pm, & 7pm
Saturday, February 10 - 1pm, 4pm, & 7pm
Sunday, February 11 - 11am, 1pm & 3pm

The 2007 Vancouver International Boat Show runs February 7 to 11 at BC Place Stadium and the False Creek Yacht Club. Tickets are $12 for Adults; $20 for a Two-day Pass; $10 for Seniors; and free for Youths 16 and under when accompanied by an adult.
