Solace wakeboard school was started by BC ripper Jessie
Schipfel. It is located in Vernon, about 40min N of Kelowna.
The school runs on Okanagan lake and Kalamalka lake. Boards
are supplied by J star (www.jstarskis.com)
and a 2005 Liquid ride tournament boat (www.liquidrideboats.com).
Jessie's goal with the school is to "make wakeboarding
affordable for the average person". They do so by providing
cheap nights, ladies nights ($25 including all equipment!)
and seasons passes. They also run 3 and 5 days camps,
perfect if you plan on spending a long weekend or a week in
the Okanagan.
They do everything from surfing, wakeskating, wakeboarding
to boat charters. Coaching is provided by Jessie Schipfel
and Dustin O'Ferrall,
I've watched these guys ride summer after summer
at tournaments around BC they are two solid riders and their
easy going attitudes would make for a fun and progressive
learning experience.
