Sattelyte Wakeskates “Returns to the Streets” with a new team, site, and focus for the start of the Canadian wakeskate season…… May 31 2005— After a long winter, Sattelyte has made a series of changes just in time for the Canadian Wakeskate Season. The
company recently updated
their website for 2005 (http://www.sattelyte.com)
with team updates and an event
schedule. The company also
launched Wakeskateworld.com
On the team front, Evan Reed has joined Mark Rennie on the Sattelyte wakeskate team. Evan is an active member of Wasaga Beach’s Phatwakes (http://www.phatwakes.com) wakeboarding school and will help Mark carry the team to new heights in 2005. Sattelyte has also worked out a tentative agreement with Muskoka Militia’s (http://www.muskokamilitia.com/) Brian McAulay to rock the Sattelyte Combat deck for 2005. Sattelyte will also be sponsoring skateboarder Matt Ross. Be sure to read Matt’s profile at http://www.sattelyte.com/.
In an effort to distinguish itself as a total skate lifestyle brand, Sattelyte will not only be sponsoring both wakeskaters and skateboarders for 2005, but also artists. The first to join the team is DJ Mike Mitchell of http://www.symbolic-studios.com/. Mike will be joining the team at most events this summer spinning records and displaying his skills. Be sure to catch Mike and the rest of the Sattelyte team at Rock the Wake (http://www.rockthewake.com/) June 9-12.
Sattelyte continues to make each and every board in Canada using only hard-rock Canadian Maple. They have included a concave model for 2005, as well as full thermal image graphics. It does take a considerable amount of time to make a board unique in the market which can hold up under almost any condition, and Sattelyte would like to thank all those people who helped make it a reality.
The company’s goal for 2005 is to “return to the streets” – return to a street skating way of life. Not only with a team which covers the full spectrum of the sport, but also with decks built with the street skater in mind – someone who could be riding a winch spot behind their school one day and ditchskating behind a car the next. Sattelyte will be both sponsoring and attending numerous events this summer, so make sure to check the website for updates and a schedule of events. Be sure to check out Sattelyte’s article titled “Return to the Streets” in the summer edition of SBC Wakeboard mag. In the meantime, Sattelyte is always open to any comments or suggestions you might have. Feel free to contact them at mailto:info@sattelyte.com Rock on!
