To kickoff the summer season correctly, the crew at
Evolution Boardriding School is hosting a camp in Brooks,
Alberta on June 17, 18 and 19.
Jeremy Matthews, head coach for the school, says the plan is
to teach lessons to the local high school on Wednesday and
Thursday and then open things up to the public on the Friday
and the weekend.
“The scene in southern Alberta is still a little small so we
thought we would offer an opportunity for people to come out
and see what wakeboarding is all about.”
The camp is being held at Lake Newell just south of Brooks
and is open to riders of all ages and abilities. Riders can
register for the entire weekend event or just drop in on any
day.
“It will be the first opportunity for people to try out our
new MasterCraft X-2,” says Matthews.
As well, Evolution also has almost every board from
O’Brien’s 2005 lineup for people to demo.
“We’ve been doing these camps at Brooks since the early ‘90s
and have got a lot of people into wakeboarding in that
time,” says Matthews. “It should be an awesome weekend.”
Evolution is offering reduced prices for the camp, at just
$35/set. For more information contact Jeremy at (403)
