2004 Canadian Wakeboard Championships - Event Info

When
August 26 - 29, 2004

Where
Plaza of Nations 750 Pacific Boulevard Vancouver, B.C. The course is on the North East portion just east of the Cambie St. Bridge. Note: This is a salt water site.

Registration
BC Water Ski Association via our on line registration at www.karelo.com VISA, MasterCard and American Express Registration due by August 13, 2004.

Each province will be granted 20 spots for registration to be held until August 5th. Atlantic provinces will be grouped together with 20 spots reserved for all of NS, NL, NB and PEI combined. Each province will be required to name their up to 20 designated riders by July 1,2004.

After July 1,2004, the remaining spots will become available on a first come, first served basis until 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 26th or until the limit of 200 riders is reached, whichever comes first.

Eligibility
Must be a provincial association member, a Water Ski Canada Competitive Licence Holder and properly registered for the event. There will be a maximum number of entries in the events:
Wakeboard: 200 entries
Wakeskate: 20 entries
Slider: 30 entries

Entry Fee
Before July 31, 2004: $85.00/riderAugust 1 to August 13, 2004: $100.00/rider After August 13, 2004: $100.00/ rider +$25.00 late fee.

Entry Fee permits entry into Wakeboard Nationals and entry into wakeboard event. Riders who have paid the entry fee and wish to enter the wakeskate and slider event will have to pay an additional fee of $20.00/event. Specialists who wish to compete only in the wakeskate or slider events are the same fee as above.

Prizes
Open division winners earn cash prizes (minimum expected prizing below) 1st : $1,000.00 2nd: $500.00 3rd: $250.00 Minimum $300.00 cash "winner take all" slider and wakeskate purse.

Directions
From the Vancouver International Airport, follow Grant McConachie Way over the Arthur Laing Bridge. Turn east (right) onto Marine Drive East. Turn left at Cambie Street. Stay on Cambie Street all the way into downtown. You can't miss the site on the right as you cross over the Cambie street bridge. Turn right at Pacific Blvd. Plaza of Nations will be on you right as you pass BC Place Stadium on your left.
